Where I work now, the walls are plastered in posters of gorgeous swaths of daffodils and tulips (go figure), and most of them are labeled "Keukenhof." It took me a while to catch on....I blame it on the stress of a new job. But eventually I did some research and discovered that Keukenhof is one of the most famous gardens in the world. It's located in...you guessed it: Holland! It's got to be the most beautiful spring garden in the world--it claims so, and I'd say the claim is legitimate.

The garden was started around Keukenhof Castle in the 17th century, but its use as a spring bulb display garden was dreamed up by a group of 20 flower bulb exporters in 1949. Now more than 100 companies plant their living catalogs at Keukenhof, which amounts to over 7 million blooms each spring.
